What comes out of Le Roy properties
Roofing in 10s and 20s, garage clean-outs and flooring in 15s, medium remodels in 20s, estate clean-outs in 30s, construction and demolition in 30s and 40s, and a 10 or 15 for concrete and dirt — heavy material usually only goes in the smaller boxes. Building waste is what City pickup and the City dumpster leave out. Illinois keeps some things out of landfills: TVs, computers, monitors, printers and other electronics (415 ILCS 151/1-83); lead-acid vehicle batteries (415 ILCS 5/22.23); tires, whole or cut (415 ILCS 5/55); refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, water heaters and other large appliances unless their refrigerant and mercury parts have been removed (415 ILCS 5/22.28); and liquid used oil (415 ILCS 5/21.6). Landfills can't take landscape waste, and it can't be mixed with other waste headed for one (415 ILCS 5/22.22) — tell us if a load is yard waste, and before you load an appliance. No paint, solvents, oils, fuel, hazardous chemicals, propane tanks, gas cylinders, batteries, medical waste or asbestos.

Sizes
Choosing a container size in Le Roy
Weight is what usually decides the size, not how much room the pile takes up.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 Yard Dumpster | about 14 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 3.5 ft high | about 3 pickup truck loads | 1–2 tons | Small kitchen and bathroom remodels, roof tear-offs, garage and single-room cleanouts, and concrete, tile, asphalt and brick within the weight limit. |
| 15 Yard Dumpster | about 16 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 4.5 ft high | about 4–5 pickup truck loads | 2–3 tons | Garage, attic and basement cleanouts, kitchen and bath remodels, flooring and carpet removal, light roofing, small decks and fences, and yard waste. |
| 20 Yard Dumpster | about 22 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 4.5 ft high | about 6 pickup truck loads | 3–4 tons | Whole-home cleanouts, multi-room renovations, roofing projects, large landscaping jobs and light demolition with mixed debris. |
| 30 Yard Dumpster | about 22 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 6 ft high | about 9 pickup truck loads | 4–5 tons | Multi-room and full-house renovations, estate and rental property cleanouts, retail and office remodels, light demolition and community cleanups. |
| 40 Yard Dumpster | about 22 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 8 ft high | about 12 pickup truck loads | 5–6 tons | Commercial renovations, new builds and major demolition, full-home remodels, warehouse and office cleanouts, commercial roofing and large event cleanups. |
Permits, placement and who may haul in Le Roy
Who may haul — the rule that matters: the City provides refuse collection by way of a third-party contractor (§ 4-2-2-2) and collects no building waste except by special arrangement (§ 4-2-2-5D). We found no exclusivity language and no private hauler licence in the refuse chapter. Commercial containers must be screened from view of the street (§ 4-2-2-5A4). We're licensed and insured.
In the street: a contractor needs the Mayor's written permission to encumber a street, alley or sidewalk, using no more than a third of the street's width or half of a sidewalk (§ 7-1-2B), with barriers and warning devices in place (§ 7-1-3); fines run up to $750. The sections don't name dumpsters, and no fee is stated. A driveway is the simple spot — give us clear placement instructions and you don't need to be home for the drop-off.
State routes: IDOT requires a highway permit before any work in the right-of-way of an interstate, a US route, an Illinois route or another state-maintained road (605 ILCS 5/4-209, as IDOT cites it), and it has no dumpster or container permit type — so beside a state route the container goes on private property, never in the right-of-way. Not every stretch through a town is state-maintained, so we check the exact address.
Knocking something down: before a regulated asbestos demolition or renovation, Illinois EPA must get a notification form and a $150 fee 10 working days ahead. A privately owned house, or an apartment building of four or fewer units, is exempt unless it has had or will have a commercial or public use. Asbestos never goes in our containers — tell us if you find any.

How it works
Booking a dumpster in Le Roy
Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.
Step 1: Call and tell us the job
One short conversation. We ask the address, what you are clearing — a cleanout, a renovation, a roof, a yard, a job site — roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us.
Step 2: We size it and quote it flat
You get a flat-rate quote whenever possible that covers delivery, pickup, disposal, the standard rental period and an included weight allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.
Step 3: Delivered where you want it
The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site where you asked, on a flat, solid surface rather than the lawn. Often same-day or next-day, when availability allows. You do not need to be home.
Step 4: Load it at your pace
Keep it below the top rim and keep the problem items out — paint and solvents, oil and fuel, chemicals, tires, batteries, propane tanks and gas cylinders, medical waste, asbestos, TVs and computers, and fridges or other appliances still holding refrigerant. Need more time or a swap mid-job? One call.
Step 5: We haul it and dispose of it right
The load is tarped and goes to a permitted facility, with metal, concrete, asphalt and yard waste recycled whenever facilities accept them. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Local answers
Dumpster rental in Le Roy — common questions
Is Le Roy same-day?
Same-day or next-day when availability allows — it is about 22 minutes from the yard. Call (309) 893-1463 early for the best chance.
Can I use the City dumpster for my remodel?
The dumpster at 410 N Hemlock is for Le Roy residents' large household items and takes no commercial construction or demolition material. A remodel goes in a roll-off.
Will City trash pickup take building waste?
Not normally. City code says no building waste is collected except by special arrangement (Sec. 4-2-2-5D).
Can a dumpster go in a Le Roy street?
A contractor needs the Mayor's written permission to encumber a street or sidewalk, limited to a third of the street's width, with barriers and warning devices (Sec. 7-1-2B and 7-1-3). A driveway is simpler.
