Service area
Fifteen towns and one yard in Bloomington. Here is every place we cover, grouped by area, each with its own page on access, local character and what the town's own rules say about containers in the street and who may haul.
We run roll-off containers out of 2014 Cabinton Rd — inside the City of Bloomington, McLean County, right by the I-55 / I-74 and Veterans Parkway interchange — to every town below. Distance is the first thing that changes. Approximate road miles from the yard: central Bloomington about 3, Normal about 6, Downs about 11, Heyworth about 12, Hudson about 14, Danvers about 15, Towanda about 16, Le Roy about 18, Clinton about 23, Lexington and El Paso about 24, Lincoln about 29, Gridley about 31, Chenoa about 32 and Pontiac about 43. Same-day or next-day is available when availability allows, and route timing decides the rest.
The second thing that changes is the rules. Illinois has no statewide hauler permit; the rules come from each city's and village's own code. In Bloomington, hauling waste for profit takes a City licence that names dumpsters and construction or demolition work (City Code Ch. 36), and a street placement needs the Engineering Division's Dumpster Permit, at least 3 business days ahead. In Normal, private refuse collectors work under § 21.1-5, and roll-offs stay out of front yards and the street right-of-way without Town permission (§ 21.1-4). Lincoln has an exclusive residential franchise for single-family homes through February 28, 2027, whose agreement excludes construction waste, plus a City waste hauler licence that covers construction dumpster services (Ch. 3-21) and a Street Department permit and bond for any street dumpster over two cubic yards (Ch. 8-3), so we check the City's rules before booking a household cleanout container there. Heyworth requires Village Board authorization to collect garbage (Code 9-5-3C), and Downs requires every occupied home and business to use Village refuse collection (Ch. 4, Art. II, Sec. 4(e)), so we check the Village's rules before booking in either. Hudson and Le Roy want the Mayor's written permission for building materials in a street; Lexington, Gridley, El Paso and Downs leave street obstructions to a named official. And Illinois law bars cities under 1,000,000 people from awarding a franchise for construction or demolition debris collection (65 ILCS 5/11-19-1(f)). We are licensed & insured. Each town page quotes the section and gives the office to call. We would rather say it here than find out on delivery day.
The service area
The run splits three ways: Bloomington-Normal and nearby, with Towanda, Downs, Hudson and Heyworth; around McLean County, with Le Roy, Lexington, Danvers, Gridley, Chenoa and El Paso; and further out to Clinton, Lincoln and Pontiac.
Bloomington itself, where the yard is, plus Normal, Towanda, Downs, Hudson and Heyworth — roughly 3 to 16 road miles out (approx.). Bloomington licenses dumpster haulers under City Code Ch. 36 and needs an Engineering Dumpster Permit for the street, Normal limits home collections to 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday and keeps roll-offs off the right-of-way without Town permission, and Hudson needs the Mayor's written permission for building materials in a street. Downs requires Village refuse collection and Heyworth requires Village Board authorization to collect garbage, so we check the Village's rules before booking there. Same-day or next-day when availability allows; call early for the best chance of same-day.
Le Roy, Lexington, Danvers, Gridley, Chenoa and El Paso, just over the line in Woodford County — roughly 15 to 32 road miles from the yard (approx.). City and village pickup leaves out construction debris almost everywhere, Le Roy needs the Mayor's written permission for street use, Lexington and Gridley leave street obstructions to the Street Superintendent or Street Commissioner, and El Paso requires haulers to carry $1,000,000 in liability insurance. Same-day or next-day when availability allows; call early for the best chance of same-day.
Clinton in DeWitt County, Lincoln in Logan County and Pontiac in Livingston County — roughly 23 to 43 road miles from the yard (approx.). Lincoln requires a City waste hauler licence that covers construction dumpster services and a street permit for dumpsters over two cubic yards, and its exclusive residential agreement may cover household cleanouts, so we check the City's rules before booking a household cleanout container there. Pontiac curbside takes no construction debris, and Clinton's yearly cleanup voucher covers one pickup load. Same-day or next-day when availability allows; call early for the best chance of same-day.

Many of them, depending on where the trucks are and when you call — early in the day gives you the best chance. The closest runs from the yard are central Bloomington, about 3 road miles, Normal, about 6, and Downs, about 11; the furthest are Gridley, about 31, Chenoa, about 32, and Pontiac, about 43.
Yes, call — the villages and rural roads between our towns are inside our run; they just do not have their own pages. Tell us the address and we will tell you which town's rules apply. The rules follow the city or village the property is in, not the mailing address.
Because Illinois leaves it to each city and village. Bloomington and Lincoln license haulers, and their licences reach dumpsters; Lincoln also has an exclusive residential franchise for single-family homes; Heyworth requires Village Board authorization to collect garbage; and Downs requires Village refuse collection for homes and businesses. State law bars new construction or demolition debris franchises in cities under 1,000,000 people. We state what each town says.
The flat rate depends partly on the delivery location, so the furthest towns can cost a little more — we say so up front.
To a permitted facility for that kind of waste. There is no active municipal solid waste landfill in McLean County — the Illinois EPA lists the county's landfills as closed and in post-closure care — so loads travel to permitted facilities outside the county, and recyclable material goes to recycling facilities whenever they accept it.
